Christmas is a time to celebrate, spend time with friends and family and festively decorate. Decorating does not just refer to your home; You can also spice up your personal style by painting your nails to match the season. There are many ways to be creative with your nail polish over Christmas, using everything from snowmen from candy canes to Christmas trees. Your nails will look as festive as the holiday is.
candy cane
The candy canes are delicious and will give your nails a festive look. Apply a clear base coat of nail polish, allow to dry for five minutes and apply two layers of red nail polish, allowing five minutes between each application. Use a small brush or nail art brush to draw a few diagonal white lines on each nail. Alternate each nail: red enamel with white stripes and white enamel with red stripes. After the enamel has dried, apply a last coat of clear enamel to create a shiny and durable appearance.
Snowflakes
Create a burst of "snowflakes" on your nails by painting them in a blue, red or green light. Allow the enamel to dry after applying two coats. Use a small art brush to draw a large snowflake or a few small snowflakes on the nail. There are no two snowflakes the same so that they are creative. For the less expert, use a template to create the snowflake. Paint on the stencil and use the spatula to scrape the enamel back and forth quickly. Apply the stamp with the template design, as soon as you have finished picking out the template and seal each nail.
Holly
Create a little holly design on each nail, leaving a free nail to draw or stamp another element on a finger, such as a snowman nail art, gingerbread man or Christmas tree. Paint each nail with two layers of clear nail polish, or replace a single layer with a silver or clear gloss enamel. Allow to dry for five to ten minutes. Use a small nail art brush and wet it in red or green enamel. Draw a line just below the actual nail, not the tip. Allow to dry for about five minutes. At the tips of the nails, draw some red and green dots. After the stitches have dried, draw a small piece of holly on each corner of the nails, alternating the top and bottom. Place a small red imitation diamonds or a jewel in the middle to act like the berry. Once it has dried, coat the nails one last time with clear enamel.
Christmas lights
Make your nails shine with Christmas lights. Apply a clear coat of nail polish, allow it to dry and apply a layer of base color of your choice. Use a darker color, for example blue or black colors making the brighter the light chain with easy noticeability. Once the color is dry, dip the small nail art brush into a silver glaze and enamel draw a zigzag line on each nail. Use red, green, yellow and white enamel to create tiny light bulbs attached to the zigzag lines. Allow to dry and apply the last coat of clear enamel for gloss.
