Tips for Using Makeup Brushes

Makeup brushes are essential tools when it comes to executing a flawless makeup application. Rather than being a simple accessory, brushes and makeup brushes create different effects and results. With the proper care, quality brushes last a lifetime.

The fibers used to create makeup brushes are divided into two categories: natural fibers or synthetic fibers. Natural fibers are often shaved hair of an animal, the most common being squirrel, goat and horse. Brushes and brushes natural fibers are ideal for applying powders, such as blush and eye shadow.

And synthetic makeup brushes, like the 24 makeup brushes set, are made of artificial materials. Synthetic brushes are commonly used for liquid foundation or base, cream blush or lipstick. Also suitable for sensitive skin types, which otherwise might react to natural fibers.

The splint should feel completely safe for the brush handle and should not move forward and backward.

Care and regular cleaning of brushes and makeup brushes will last many time helps. Natural fiber brushes require more specific care that synthetic makeup brushes because of its sensitive nature.

Clean your brushes and makeup brushes at least once every two weeks or more often if you use the same brush for a variety of colors. Use a mixture of shampoo and water to clean makeup brushes, always use cold water to prevent removal of natural oils in the brush fibers.

Allow to air dry, head of the brush over an edge, like the edge of a sink. This allows it to dry thoroughly, keeping its shape. And makeup brushes should be stored so that it has room to spread out, without compacting head. Always allow wet brushes and brushes to dry completely before storing in the lace makeup bag. Brushes and makeup brushes should not be exposed to excessive heat.
