Used
by Tibetan monks as personal
care for personal and spatial harmonization. In most cultures they are
associated with spirituality. Archetypically the bell makes the voice function
that recalls our authentic purpose or "vocation". The Dalai Lama and
all Tibetan monks meditate with the mantra specific to each bell. They are
handmade in molds of thousands of years, with seven alloys of different metals,
such as iron, copper, silver, lead, bronze, nickel, and gold.
These
bells or yoga
singing bowl mainly harmonize the nervous and heart systems, elevate
the body's defenses by predisposing to deeply introspective conditions
beneficial to health, reducing the segregation of stress-related hormones and
elevating endorphins. The sound wave produced by the continuous rubbing of the
edge of the bowl by an element of wood, reaches a note mantra that sustains for
a long time penetrating the matter and acting at cellular level, tuning by
resonance and sympathy. It also acts in the habitat area, breaking down
negative energy structures deposited in space, specifically in corners and
everywhere where energy is perceived to be stagnant or devitalized. For the
meditator, hearing the sound of a bell or bowl as if it were the sound of one's
own mind is to have reached a very high level of spiritual development. It is a
sign that your ego has melted, your practice has leveled and transformed into
your way of living.
